We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position listed below.  I have included the annual salary and hourly rate. The position is non-exempt. 


Legal Assistant – 28,000 or 13.46 per hour

  • This is NOT a Collector position but an Admin. Assistant position

The primary purpose of this position is to: assist the office manager in managing the activities of the Field Division and manage tax warrants.

  1. Process phone call and field visit reports of department daily.
  1. Prepare warrant files for review, including conducting all relevant research.
  1. File tax warrants electronically with courthouse.
  1. Communicate with mailroom regarding courthouse runs; arrange for pickup of documents.
  1. Communicate with court clerks, constables, banks and the firm’s clients when processing tax warrants.
  1. Review files with manager.
  1. Schedule warrants and maintain service calendar.
  1. Input and maintain tax warrants in Oracle.
  1. Keep up with general organization of files in the department’s filing cabinets.
  1. Send closed files to the fileroom to be sent to the offsite storage facility.
  1. Update and produce client reports; including warrant log and Top 200.
  1. Conduct corporate research.

  Research defendants and Initiate Lawsuits in TaxTool


  1.  Request reports from IT
  1.  All other duties assigned.
  1. Well organized and detail oriented.

  1. Solid work ethic.
  1. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  1. Good computer skills.
  1. Willing to cross train for additional duties in the field division department.
  1. Ability to work in a high-volume fast paced environment.
