Job Description

We have a Construction Company Client in Livermore that has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Clerk.

AP CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Code invoices to appropriate accounts/expenses
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
  • Data enter invoices for payment
  • Process backup reports after data entry
  • Prepare vendor checks for mailing
  • Prepare manual checks as and when required
  • Maintain listing of accounts payable
  • Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
  • Performs filing and coping

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Must be organized, able to follow directions and a quick learn.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Viewpoint software knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Punctuality & Attendance a must.
