Job Description

PrideStaff has an immediate position for a PROCUREMENT ANALYST for a North County manufacturer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform some cost analyses and other projects related to optimizing the supply chain.
  • Production and Continuous Improvement Support
  • Support the execution of a value-engineering program, which applies methodologies to identify and implement recommendations for reducing material and/or labor costs associated with current and future products.
  • Support manufacturing production planning and coordination, execution and operations process development.
  • Identify cost saving / avoidance opportunities to reduce total cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Work with suppliers to validate pricing and track pricing changes.
  • Own RFQ processes from creation to completion to generate multiple viable bids.
  • Develop, maintain, and present routine reports for management.
  • Own vendor qualification process by collaborating and developing positive relationships with internal / external stakeholders.
  • Resolve non-conforming material issues.
  • Support the IT systems for quality, planning, and inventory.
  • Help to manage production planning for two facilities.
  • Order necessary raw materials and analyze trends using a regression analysis model.
  • Determine optimal ship points for orders.
  • Optimize production and warehousing including conducting monthly cycle inventories and bi-annual physical inventories at two facilities.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Procurement / Sourcing / Supply Chain background preferred in a manufacturing company.
  • Familiarity working within plastics industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of MRP / ERP system implementation is an advantage, but not requirement.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software a plus.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written form to both technical
  • Good analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
