Job Description

PrideStaff Hattiesburg is currently recruiting for experienced Automation Techs

Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot, service and fix robotic and computerized systems 
  • Provide feedback in order to maintain systems
  • Construct, test, maintain, and repair substation relay and control systems.
  • Inspect and test equipment and circuits to identify malfunctions or defects, using wiring diagrams and testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters.
  • Run signal quality and connectivity tests for individual cables, and record results
  • Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves, such as regulators, thermostats, or hydrants, using power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.
  • Dismantle meters, and replace or adjust defective parts such as cases, shafts, gears, disks, and recording mechanisms, using soldering irons and hand tools.
  • Make adjustments to meter components, such as setscrews or timing mechanisms, so that they conform to specifications.

Job Requirements: 

  • Siemens Drive experience
  • Allen Bradley experience
  • Associate’s Degree (two year college or technical school) Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Automation/Engineering preferred.
  • A current resume
  • At least 5 years experience in an industrial environment 
  • Must possess strong analytical and technical skills;
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and computer skills required;
  • Solid mechanical aptitude preferred;
  • Must have the ability/desire to work in a team environment;
  • Must possess a high level of integrity, inspiring trust;
  • Must demonstrate the ability to promote a safe working environment;
  • Must show a drive for results and desire to continually improve;
  • The ability to communicate vision and purpose and the ability to motivate others is a plus.
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must be able to read schematics and blueprint 
  • PLC/ DCS experience
