Job Description

SUMMARY
Performs regular data entry tasks to maintain accuracy and integrity of all warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory storage, and material blending and grinding by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates with Product Inventory Control Coordinator, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service to address expedited orders and potential issues affecting on-time shipment.
Processes shipment information to meet customer specific requirements.
Reviews sales order reports to schedule daily shipping requirements, and coordinates with Customer Service personnel to establish customer-specific shipping priorities.
Audits items pulled for shipment ensuring accuracy, completeness, and acceptable condition of all shipments.
Creates shipping documents and any other customer requested paperwork.
Operates and maintains the various online shipping programs and reports any inconsistencies.
Performs weekly cycle counts.
Contacts carriers with necessary information to arrange pick-up.
Relabels product as needed while ensuring accuracy and completeness of paperwork.
Receives, inspects, and verifies all incoming materials.
Pulls small orders for shipment when time allows.
Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as inventory location reports, blending/grinding/scrap/regrind logs and receiving paperwork.
Ensures cleanliness and safety of all warehouse equipment and facilities. Reports safety issues related to warehouse and equipment to the Safety Coordinator.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve months related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic computer literacy and ability to type 30 wpm. MS Office knowledge.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Eye protection is required when in the manufacturing area. The noise level in the office area is usually quiet, however while in the manufacturing area the noise level is occasionally loud.
