Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Coordinates project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors.

1. Education and/or Experience
Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related degree or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
3. Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
4. Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
5. Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Viewpoint and Viewpoint Project Controls. Should have an understanding of Primavera and other scheduling software as well as owner database and collaboration systems.
6. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Not required but beneficial; design build and/or construction management certifications, professional licensing and other certificates related to construction, quality and safety.
7. Other Skills and Abilities
Manage the project team to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished.
8. Other Qualifications
Demonstrates or develops a thorough understanding of Construction processes and procedures and ensures all personnel are adhering.
Demonstrates or develops the ability to effectively use Construction Job Cost and project controls software to perform management tasks. Follows and promotes client Core Values.
