Job Description

Pridestaff Akron is seeking a qualified Financial Planning Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Fairlawn. 

$18.00 per hour, Based on Experience

Financial Planning Assistance           

Responsibilities         

  • prep work for all client appointments (application, prospectuses, Morningstar, PMT, etc.)
  • assistance with data entry for all financial plans, NaviPlan, Morningstar, etc.
  • review and edit them for organization
  • prepare correspondence and agreements for advisor/client signatures
  • review and update client information as needed for client review meetings
  • Copy and follow-up with home office on related issues

Client Service                                               

  • answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested, as it relates to servicing their accounts.
  • set up and maintain client management system
  • maintain files and records
  • write notes or letters to clients on personal letterhead of administrative nature only and handle client appreciation
  • able to utilize and understand unique tools and processes available

Practice Management                      

  • plan and prioritize own work schedule as well as Advisor’s
  • use to-do lists, calendars, computer software or other work/time management systems
  • perform other allowable duties as assigned by the Financial Advisor(s)
  • act as a technical resource provide training and support to other planning assistants in the practice
  • may ask questions regarding the financial planning process but cannot make recommendations
  • coordinate seminars and client appreciation events
  • able to utilize and understand unique tools and processes available

    7.         Volume of Work: Keeps up with workload, meets crash programs when necessary, steady, consistent, willing to put in extra effort.

    8.         Job Knowledge / Technical Skills: Knows what has to be done, seldom needs instruction, proficient in all technical aspects of job, knows how to run equipment, able to work independently, able to instruct, guides and trains others, understands safety/security procedures and maintains them.

    9.         Motivation: Genuine commitment to job, energetic, self-starting, shows initiative, commitment, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and high energy level.

    10.       Reaction to Stress: Can be depended upon when deadline pressures intensify, able to remain calm and effective despite irritation or changes in plans and policies, rarely loses temper, shows good frustration tolerance, able to handle irate customers/vendors.

    11.       Problem Solving: Troubleshoots, quick insight and able to learn, handles complex assignments, analytical, gets to the point quickly.

    12.       Creativity: Innovative, generates original solutions, develops new options, and suggests improvements
