Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk preforms tasks related to accounting, clerical, and administrative duties.

This position quickly and efficiently completes the Accounts Payable process. This is for a temp to hire position for a client in Turlock. This is a small fast pace office. This company creates dairy designs and dairy construction all over the central valley for large well-known companies.

 

Great customer service skills is a must for this position. This AP Clerk will also handle the front desk and must represent the company in a professional and sincere manner.

Accounts Payable Clerk job Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing invoices for proper documentation for payment approval
  • Answer phone line and assist customers
  • Answer any questions as needed
  • Greet customers and clients as they walk in the door
  • Accurately enter and post invoices utilizing accounting software system
  • Keep vendor information updates
  • Sort by priority and match invoices
  • Code invoices, expense reports, and check requesting with proper account codes
  • Prep batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
  • File, scan, distribute accounting documents as needed
  • Preform other duties as assigned

 

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Requirements Include:

  • 3+ years of experience in similar role
  • must be experienced doing payables for multiple locations
  • Great customer service skills
  • Strong filing skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, ect)
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
