Summary of Duties:
Responsible for assisting patients with the completion of referrals including multiple service lines. Responsible for utilizing the electronic health record system to obtain and document necessary information. Performs other duties as assigned.
Must possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, technical or health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program or at least 1 year of experience with employment in a medical office. Job duties require specific knowledge and training in business office practices, typically acquired during completion of a (certificate or license program) in office administration with duration of up to a year or 1 year of business related experience. Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
Licenses & Certifications: Completion of a Medical Assistant training program, or at least 1 year of experience in a medical office.
