Position:        Customer Service Department (CSD) Associate

Type:              Full time position (Hourly) 8 -5   $15.00

Description:   The CSD Associate is responsible for supporting the sales and order entry functions of company. This person must be effective and efficient with processing all customer requests with minimal supervision and within company guidelines. 


Responsibilites include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure quotes and orders are promptly processed, as well as accurately conveyed and entered into both the company ERP and CRM systems
  • Coordinate all Customer Service activities associated with assigned market or product line
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure customer orders meet associated delivery deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Communicate with internal departments such as Operations, Technical Support, Quality, Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Engineering as required
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to assist with product configurations and selections
  • Handle all correspondence related to the order, quote, or customer inquiry (both internal and external communication)
  • Oversee the status of orders from entry through production and delivery
  • Research purchase and account histories

Essential skills and experience:

  • Customer Service or Inside Sales experience with a commercial or industrial equipment manufacturer
  • Understanding of manufacturing and production processes
  • Experience with order entry and proven ability to maneuver throughout an ERP or MRP system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Superior customer relation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people
  • Ability to function as a team player within a diverse group and the capacity to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • HVAC technical skills or knowledge a plus
