JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Sr. Product Specialist will ensure that the company meets or exceeds its Sales and Profit Margin aspirations and targets.  Goals are measured quarterly and annually. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining healthy customer relationships in conjunction with the Sales and Customer Service teams.  Growth is achieved through current and new market penetration.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Meet and exceed goals and objectives set by Sales Management
  • Directly responsible for developing business relationships to increase sales and service goals within the assigned territory
  • Provide oversight to assigned Customer Service Representatives to meet established goals
  • Perform market research, as directed by the Sales Manager
  • Assure timely and effective customer communication and follow-up
  • Timely reporting of territory sales activity and results within assigned territory as well as assigned forecasting functions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in the Medical Device industry
  • Minimum of years in a B to B sales environment with experience in the Medical parts Industry is a significant plus
  • Track record of success showing consistent attainment of goals year over year
  • This person must be able to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize well.
  • Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively - commercial airline travel is required
  • Required ability to interpret Sale Forecasts & results
  • Must be an outgoing and enjoy meeting people, exuding enthusiasm and gaining trust  
  • Effective professional communication skills required
