Job Description

Our cargo services and shipping firm is in immediate need of a Logistics Coordinator for our customer service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. This is a temp to hire position with a great firm in Florence KY area. 

 

We like to encourage repeat business among our customers, so we take customer service seriously. Everyone in the logistics department is responsible for responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and for notifying customers about any delays in the delivery schedule. Staying on top of all accounts and coordinating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this position.

Job Description

Manage the maintenance, preparation and routing of purchase orders

Prepare accurate bills of lading

Satisfy air and ocean bills in a timely manner

Communicate with van lines, shipping firms and airlines to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments

Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible

Review purchase orders and shipment contents prior to releasing them from our facility

Track and analyze miss shipments to ensure they don’t occur again

Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the appropriate channels

Ensure quality of all services and processes within the facility

Accurately report performance metrics to management and customer

 

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

5+ years’ experience in customer service or logistics management a must

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Inventory maintenance experience a plus

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
