Mark Yoss, Owner/Strategic-Partner
I am a consultant and problem-solver. Throughout my career, organizations have sought me out to turn around situations in which things weren't working by developing practical solutions.
During my tenure with Kichler Lighting, I grew sales 14.6% in a time when commercial sales were down. As a National Sales Manager with Panasonic Home & Environment Company, I led the regional management team to expand operations and revenue streams. Prior to that, I spent over 20 years with Cooper Industries (now Eaton) serving several roles including Regional VP and National Accounts Director.
Over the years, I have led sales teams, built revenue models, expanded reach, broken into untapped markets and developed new lines of revenue. My experience as a strategic leader, coupled with an MBA from NC State, has given me the business perspective and problem-solving abilities to help others overcome their business challenges.
The Big Picture:
My role as a PrideStaff Strategic-Partner is to help clients solve business problems by identifying "pain points" they don't even know they have. Every day, I look forward to helping companies use staffing strategically – engaging talent on a contingent basis to keep costs down, to overcome tough workforce challenges and to access the highly skilled people they need.
The Scoop on Staffing:
Today, organizations large and small have to compete in a global economy and be more strategic. Business cycles are extreme; competition is fierce; exceptional talent is scarce; productivity levels experience huge peaks and valleys.
PrideStaff's solutions provide real competitive advantage in all of these areas. Through the intelligent use of staffing, our team helps area employers maintain a competitive edge while helping job seekers find a place where they can thrive. Ultimately, our goal is to match the best person with the best position – meeting critical needs for employers and job seekers alike.
Secrets to Success:
Staffing is a people business, so relationship building is essential. I thrive being around, and relating to, people from all walks of life. I enjoy uncovering their needs, understanding their wants and identifying their fears so that I can truly help them find success.
Discipline and hard work are also key. There are no shortcuts; you must put in the hours to be successful.
Working out a lot and golf! I also relax by going to the beach, sailing or just kicking back and enjoying a cool breeze.
My two daughters are fantastic soccer players who have both earned college scholarships, so I love watching them play whenever I can.
