Recruiting – Our Core Competency
We are often asked the “chicken or egg question” regarding whether we first sell to get job orders, or recruit to be prepared when we receive the orders. The answer is that we do both simultaneously. The Business Development Rep is out selling every day to companies who hire clerical, accounting and light industrial workers. The Staffing Consultant, who in addition to building the business from the inside, by marketing our available workforce to potential clients, is constantly recruiting candidates with relevant skills and recent work experience. Candidates who apply for work through PrideStaff, understand that though we may or may not have the ideal job for them at the moment, we diligently strive to find the perfect job for them. Our candidates come to us from a variety of sources, as depicted below.
Drug Screening
Drug screens are administered for clients who require it. The type of drug screen you administer is a decision that you will make as a business owner and it may change over time as your business grows and matures. Drug screening and testing is a shared expense with Home Office.
Oral Drug Screening
- Results within 10 minutes.
- Eliminates third party collection site.
- Some candidates who know they will test positive will decline to take the test, thus screening out undesirable candidates.
- Cost is 50% or less of urine drug screen.
- Tests are not FDA approved or regulated.
- Results are not legally defensible; confirmation needed for non-negative results via urine drug screen process, thus increasing cost and turnaround time.Ā

- FDA-approved and regulated process.
- Results are scientifically measured and legally defensible using a two-stage testing process.
- Longer turn-around time; up to 72-hours with medical review process.
- Higher screening costs, especially when toxicology review is involved.

Training Outline
Classes are held consistently throughout the year and ensures that you are completely trained on the PrideStaff business model and operating system before you open your franchise. Classroom training program is conducted by our Vice President of Training and Development, Bill Hamrick, Senior Vice President of Field Operations, John-Reed McDonald, and departmental subject matter experts.
New Strategic-Partners and their staff attend two weeks of interactive classroom training in Fresno, CA and a third week in a Certified Field Training Office. Additionally, ongoing training is provided throughout the year to reinforce the operating system as well as introducing new trends and topics. Advanced training in Direct Hire and the PrideStaff Financial specialty are available as you grow your business.

Field Support
Field support includes multiple layers with different focuses. We have Vice President-Field Consultants (VP-FCs) across the country to support you locally. You will have a VP-FC who is assigned to you, to focus on your business holistically. This includes, but is not limited to, bottom-line profitability, business management, sales funnel management, and operations. Additionally, a Field Support Representative (FSR) will also be assigned to your office to focus on the operational issues that affect your income/profit. An additional layer of field support to you and your team is our AnswerHub, which is a call center at the Home Office.
