Experience: Before becoming a PrideStaff Franchisee, I was an Account Manager selling a variety of products to big box retailers. The experience dealing with different departments within a company was instrumental in preparing me for the staffing industry because it exposed me to the office dynamics and personality differences that we deal with every day in attempting to meet our client’s needs.

The big picture: Selling widgets might be easier than placing people, but I can’t remember when a widget called to say thank you.

The scoop on staffing: I consider our role as an agency to be that of a match maker; our true success depends on whether or not our clients and our employees are happy. If both are, then we’ve succeeded, if not, then we’ve failed.

Secrets to success: Honesty and diligence, but the biggest factor is being proactive rather than reactive. This keeps you looking forward rather than backward, and when your clients see you anticipating their needs, they know you’re working with them, not for them.

Stress relief: Exercising, and spending time with my daughters, my dog and my husband.  Preferably on a chair in the sand, at the beach.
