Our client seeks a highly skilled machinist with experience operating manual and CNC machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, pays attention to detail, and can interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The responsibilities include setting up and operating manual and CNC milling machines, lathes and other precision equipment; reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications; selecting appropriate tools, speeds and feed rates for machining operations; inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications; performing routine maintenance; troubleshooting machines; following safety guidelines; maintaining a clean and organized work environment; and collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards. At least 3-5 years as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment; proficiency in operating manual and CNC mills, lathes and grinders; the ability to interpret technical drawings and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges; strong attention to detail; problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required.
