Job Description

If you have 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, look no further! The work hours are Monday to Friday, 11 pm to 7 am. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan are available on the 1st of the month following the hire date. The Maintenance Technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. They troubleshoot issues, repair equipment failures, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. The responsibilities include repairing and maintaining conveyors, compressors, motors, pumps, and other plant machinery and equipment; repairing or replacing switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, and other control devices; performing work order repairs; setting up and operating welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment; operating forklifts, scissors lifts, articulating booms, and other mobile equipment; participating in plant safety, health, and environmental programs; and maintaining 5S standards in the plant. The requirements include wearing safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and additional personal protective equipment as required; following Lock Out Tag Out procedures; frequently standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching; occasionally lifting to 80 pounds to waist level; lifting 25 – 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders; climbing ladders; and working at elevations of up to 90 feet. While performing the job duties, the Maintenance Technician regularly uses cleaning solvents, oils, lubricants, and other substances while working near moving mechanical parts, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments. They might be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; experience with basic Microsoft Office software; the ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, write detailed repair reports, use maintenance software to input data and research parts, verbally communicate, and assist the Team Lead or Supervisor with repairing Salvagnini punching and panel bending, Trumpf punching and bending, ABB, Motoman and Lincoln robots, press brakes, paint line conveyors, and paint process systems.
