An automotive manufacturer seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented maintenance technician to join their team. This temp-to-hire opportunity can turn into a long-term role with growth potential. The responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment aligned with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. The requirements include advanced skills for setting and pulling compression molds, including prototype and new tool trial set-up, and processing compression molds; the ability to solve molding problems, including processing of new or prototype tools; advanced welding skills: MIG and TIG welding, brazing, and cutting using acetylene and oxygen torches, plasma cutting, fabricating machine components and other projects; advanced preventative maintenance skills: complete tear down and refurbishment of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical devices in the plant; advanced electrical skills: the ability to troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage circuits and machine controls; basic to advanced programming skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair machine logic and PLCs; advanced hydraulic skills: the ability to troubleshoot and repair advanced hydraulic circuits components and equipment; advanced mechanical skills: the ability to troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical problems, including close-tolerance equipment; advanced pneumatic skills: understanding and troubleshooting compressed air circuits, components, and systems, including compressors and dryers; PLC programming; HMI programming; robot programming and repair; the ability to design and build machine electrical panels, rebuild pneumatic cylinders and vacuum pumps, detect and report faulty operations and defective material, and report unusual situations to the supervisor. The requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience; some PLC and HVAC experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills; strong motivation; the ability to work independently, lift and move objects to 50 pounds, stand, kneel, bend, climb to work on equipment, use tools to preform repairs, and visually decipher colors.
