Ready for a machinist role with a schedule switch every few weeks and the potential for overtime? The hours are Monday – Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm in an indoor industrial work environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low to moderate noise levels. Essential functions include performing multiple setups and operations to produce metal parts and assemblies on a production or prototype basis; setting up and operating lathes, mills and precision grinders to perform machining operations; working from drawings, sketches, engineering drawings and verbal or written instructions of the supervisor or team leader; performing standard shop computations relevant to the dimensions of work and tooling; using knowledge of speeds, feeds and safe chip control to complete tasks; using precision measuring instruments to check machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances; checking own work for specification conformance; complying with safety regulations and company policies; using Oracle and CMTR to search for parts locations; operating a forklift to load and unload material; helping train employees; maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area; ensuring proper handling of tools, equipment and stock; supporting DBS activities such as standard work 5s execution; using DBS tools provided by Veralto and performing other duties as requested.
