PrideStaff has released the results of its Affordable Care Act Planning and Strategy survey, designed to gauge understanding of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and benchmark corporate policy and approach to the ACA across the U.S. Conducted in July, the online survey was completed by nearly 1,100 professionals, representing a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Overall, the results show that a large portion (45.7 percent) of the business community is still unclear on the ACA and the implications it will have on their business. Many companies are still struggling with implementation as a result. In fact, over 30 percent of respondents indicate they haven’t implemented or don’t know what their plan is yet, and many companies (39.2 percent) haven’t even analyzed their ACA costs yet.
Regardless of their preparedness, 41.6 percent of employers believe that the most costly aspect of ACA reform will be offering affordable plans for employees. However, nearly one in three (30.8 percent) respondents feel the most costly part of ACA mandates will be the administrative costs of just managing the plan.
