Craig and Mary Ryder, Strategic-Partners and Owners

Experience: Craig hails from 17 years in the staffing industry. His focus during his tenure was in the finance arena, but was involved in many financially relevant facets of field operations. These included, but were not limited to, valuations, restructuring and assessing profitability, sales and re-purchase of franchise affiliates. For the 3 years prior to opening our office in April 2011, Craig worked as a financial consultant in the Sacramento area involved in projects related to financial systems migration, implementation and corporate consolidation.

Mary came to PrideStaff from a sales and service background. She spent 14 years in inside sales where she was involved in sales, service and support of financial data systems. Aside from sales, she spent several years managing and training a team of up to 20 sales representatives, assisting with merging/migrating and training acquired sales operations as well as consulting to design a new corporate customer service/sales and billing system. Of all the positions held, Mary found sales to be the most gratifying. Not so important were the numbers and dollars that proved to be rewarding, though they certainly didn’t hurt, but the daily interactions with her many clients made each day worthwhile. “Sales” is all about relationships…appreciation and enjoyment of helping others. This understanding and state of mind is what fosters success. 

The big picture: We strive to be a valuable part of our community, and positive contributors to society. We aim to assist others in not only meeting, but exceeding their goals; both from an individual and business perspective. Providing value to, and valuing every relationship we cultivate. 

The scoop on staffing: The staffing industry continues to evolve in this new economy. Companies remain unsure about the future and desire a more flexible workforce than prior to the recession. We derive pleasure in placing appreciative and motivated “good” people into their next opportunity, utilizing their relevant and recent work experience to provide for themselves and their families.  

Secrets to success: For us, success is doing the right thing at the right time. Integrity, honesty, persistence, an impeccable work ethic and genuine interest in helping others always breeds success.

Stress relief: Spending time with our children including vacationing to any place with a pool, playing strategic board and card games or cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, as well as their other activities. Working in the yard always provides daily rewarding reprieve. 

Craig enjoys tennis and running. Mary enjoys yoga and swimming (when time allows) or running in the wee hours when time is not on her side. We both enjoy golfing, on occasion, and walking. We love to watch the SF Giants, NY Yankees, and San Jose Sharks. 

Oh…and a good glass of wine with dinner, or a really cold beer on a scorching hot day!
